Tuesday, March 16th, 2010One thing that has always bothered me about women when Aunt Flo shows up (aside from the homicidal rage/weeping depression mood swings) is that it just seems… evolutionarily inefficient…
Think about it.
Back in the day Ooka the cavewoman starts bleeding profusely from her nether regions once a month. This not only attracts predators but makes the large, club wielding cavemen want to avoid her for a week.
Then I started thinking about PMS. Could that have been a survival adaptation?
I have this image of Ooka screaming about bloating and cramps while smashing in the skulls of attacking wolves with a rock, and screaming at the Narg the Caveman to skin the fuckers NOW so she can lie down on them until the fucking headache goes away… and does he think her facial hair looks pretty?? DOES IT!?!?!?!

I think I see where you’re coming from. A more evolutionary efficient design would be monthly fits of obsessive cleaning, cooking and delivering cold beer to the nearest dominant male…

True story here folks: I went to the store to get my wife some rags. I look for a male checkout to save the embarrassment factor. The dude gets ready to check me out and says “Might as well get a 6-pack too, cause you ain’t getting any”. I took his advice.
