ISLAMABAD: The Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, Yao Jing, said the unilateral decision of the Indian government to change the state of Kashmir will have a very negative impact on peace and stability in the region.

The ambassador made this statement at the beginning of his speech, delivered a ceremony held here at the Chinese Embassy, granting government scholarships to Pakistani students.
Ambassador Yao Jing congratulated the students and wished them to act as Pakistani ambassadors during their stay in China to further strengthen the long-standing old association of their decades. The relationship between China and Pak was going from generation to generation, and in this sense the role of youth had always been very significant.
The fellows, he said, will have a good opportunity to understand Chinese culture and traditions. He hoped that the education they would receive from China would contribute to their future career and allow them to play a productive role in the socio-economic development of their country, upon their return home. He said the Chinese embassy will always support Pakistani youth in their educational activities.
